1. This country is not for Afghans

So far, this is not an explosive topic, but according to statements by Slovak politicians, there will certainly be potential. It is about asylum applications from Afghans after their country was ruled by the Taliban. As for our newspaper he said Director of the Migration Office of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic Ján Orlovský, relatives of people who already live with us or have a different relationship with Slovakia are already interested in asylum in our country. So far, there are about ten people.

Prime Minister Eduard Heger also spoke about the same number on Monday. He said the government had decided to grant asylum to ten Afghan citizens who had worked very intensively with EU member states in recent years.

None of them is in Slovakia yet, but as expected, the first reactions of politicians already indicated the direction in which a possible debate could develop.
