This is the second time in a few days that such a disconnection has occurred at the site at the heart of concerns. The Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, occupied by Russian forces, has “lost connection again” to the electricity network, announced on Saturday in a press release the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), whose experts are on site. This incident, which had already occurred on August 25, occurred “after new bombardments in the area”, according to the information provided by the Ukrainian authorities to the UN body. The site, however, continues to operate “thanks to a help line”, specifies the IAEA. The two belligerents accuse each other of having carried out the bombings which targeted this site, and of risking triggering a nuclear catastrophe.
