Source: Facebook/PolíciaSR The police are warning about another hoax on their Facebook page. Exceptionally, it does not reach people through the Internet, but through the mailbox. Slovaks have recently started receiving summonses in their mailboxes. Their wording is for the addressee to come to the military unit in Kežmark, where he will participate in a military exercise for 14 days. It is stated on the fake summons that the recipient can have the ČSAD company pay for the levy. “They don’t even drive in Slovakia,” explains the police. The author of this letter further demands that the addressed person also informs his employer about this fact. “Well, you’d better not tell him anything. It is a fraud,” the police added. She calls on anyone who has received such a fake summons not to respond to it in any way and to immediately throw it in the trash. “However, the Slovak Republic has not declared a state of war and there is no reason for anyone to call you up for military service. The form that you can find in your mailbox contains your data, but its text is printed on paper that is several decades old. It does not contain any stamp of the department, nor true information,” concluded the police. Report an error. If you found a shortcoming in the article or have comments, let us know.
