The club did not disclose the terms of the contract, but local media are talking about a one-year contract with an option for another season. The 34-year-old winger spent the past 16 seasons at Real Madrid, from where he left in the summer as a free agent. In the jersey of the “white ballet” he collected 25 titles, including six in the league and five in the Champions League. In total, he played 546 games for the club, scored 38 goals and added 103 assists. He also has 58 starts in the national team, with which he appeared at the World Cup in 2014 and 2018. Olympiakos won the past three seasons of the Greek Super League and will also appear in the group stage of the Europa League. On the way to it, they eliminated Slovan Bratislava in the 3rd preliminary round.
