According to France Bleu Périgord, it was around 4 a.m. that the young man made himself beautiful. He managed to push aside the bars of his cell which he shared with another inmate. The bars were put back in place after his release. From the second floor of the prison where his cell is, he managed to reach a courtyard of the remand center. To cross the perimeter wall of the prison, he took advantage of metal rods installed during works. The escapee was sentenced five times No one noticed his absence during the morning despite the rounds made during the night and the call made in the early morning by the guards. According to France Bleu Périgord, balled up fabrics had been hidden under the sheets of his bed in order to deceive the supervisors during their checks through the peephole of the door.
