Vehicle registrations in the Basque Country decreased by 3.6% year-on-year in August – Crónica Vasca

The Basque Country recorded 1,326 registrations of passenger cars and SUVs last August, which represents a decrease of 3.6% compared to the same month of 2021, according to data provided by Anfac, Faconauto and Ganvam. In the accumulated figure for the year up to August, 14,042 vehicles have been registered in the Basque Autonomous Community, 15.81% less compared to the same period in 2021. By province, 691 passenger cars and SUVs have been registered in Bizkaia, 4, 29% less than in August 2021. In the accumulated figure for the year, the decrease is 14.62%, with 7,265 registered vehicles. In Gipuzkoa, during the past month 407 vehicles were registered, 2.01% more than in August last year, while in the accumulated figure for the first eight months of the year a decrease of 16.55% was registered, with 4,251 units registered. As detailed by Europa Press, for its part, 228 vehicles were registered in Álava in August, 10.59% less than in the same month a year ago, while from January to August 2,526 cars and SUVs were registered, 82.23 % plus.
