Vladimir Putin will not attend the farewell ceremony to Mikhail Gorbachev, who died two days ago at the age of 91, “with elements of a state funeral”. This was announced by the spokesman of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, quoted by the Russian agency Interfax. Peskov reported that Putin went to the hospital where Gorbachev died, before moving to Kaliningrad, and will therefore not be able to attend the funeral scheduled for Saturday in Moscow. Read also
