He asked the empire referee to resolve the situation, but Jaume Campistol responded that it could be a breeze from the stadium’s kitchen. Kyrgios was also disturbed by the noise of the New York trains, but he managed to beat Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 7:6 (3), 6:4, 4:6, 6:4. The Wimbledon finalist wanted Campistol to calm the crowd. Louis Armstrong Court has food stalls on the concourse level. “Shouldn’t you warn someone not to do that? I certainly wouldn’t complain about the smell of food,” the AP quoted Kyrgios as saying to the referee. The 27-year-old Australian recalled after the meeting that he is an asthmatic: “When I move from side to side, I have trouble breathing. The smell of marijuana is not what I need to feel between changes.” Nick Kyrgios just complained to the chair umpire at @usopen that he smelled marijuana coming from the crowd pic.twitter.com/eYDQXOb2rq — DannyDanko (@DannyDanko) August 31, 2022 During the duel, Kyrgios communicated with himself and with people in the audience. He received a warning for inappropriate vocabulary when he became angry with a member of his lodge whose encouragement he did not consider sufficient. In addition, his concentration was disturbed by the trains that run near the open court: “During my career I had problems with concentration, but I try to think exclusively about the next exchange and manage some situations. But here it is difficult, there are many distracting elements. Ironic ones don’t help either audience reactions, I have to be careful what I say.” Photo gallery for the article Number of photos: 4 Author: © Video list: Twitter/DannyDanko; Youtube: US Open Tennis Championships Source: TASR
