The automobile company Škoda Auto is coming up with new elements of its corporate identity, which primarily include a new logo. She announced it on her website, saying it was the most radical change in the last 30 years. The new elements combine the rich history of the car company with the future of mobility. The new brand identity will first be introduced in information and communication materials, but gradually (from approximately 2024) it will also appear on future models. Not only is our product portfolio evolving, but so are our customers. We see this as an ideal opportunity to adapt the brand to a decade of transformation and adjust its appearance to the needs and expectations of customers. Our new corporate identity underlines the modern and distinctive design and clearly shows our approach, which is first and foremost digital,” revealed Martin Jahn, member of the board of directors of Škoda Auto. What does the new logo look like? Many employees participated in the development of the new identity in cooperation with 2,200 respondents from the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Norway, India and Israel. They commented on 165 versions of the logo until they chose the one you can look at now. The new logo is rendered without plastic 3D graphics. The latest logo uses new typography and is a combination of round and square shapes. As for the squishy above the letter S, it is now integrated directly into the first letter. The surveys showed that it is more suitable from the point of view of identification and recognizability. The winged arrow symbol is also simplified. The automaker decided to use two shades of green, namely emerald and electric green. According to people’s opinions, these colors are associated with ecology, sustainability and electromobility.
