Pokémon Legends Arceus delivers new details during Pokémon Presents – gamekult

As had already been explained, the game will therefore take place in the Sinnoh region, before it bears this name. It is therefore the lands of Hisui that you will be invited to travel, in the shoes of Akari or Rei, member of the Research Unit of the Galaxie organization (and yes), which includes several bodies. Your goal is therefore to get to know the Pokémon of the various surrounding biomes, at a time when they still live apart from humans.

You will therefore start in the village of Rusti-Cité, at the origin of the Féli-Cité de Diamant et Perle. Structured in missions, Pokémon Legends: Arceus will ask you to prepare them in town before setting off into the vast world, from the Obsidian plains to the slopes of Mount Crowned. Bivouacs can also be improvised in the heart of nature to replenish health or objects, which it will be possible to craft.

As in Pokémon Sword and Shield, the wild creatures will therefore be visible on the map, and will need to be observed to be captured and come to fill a proto-Pokédex with paper. Some will be hostile – and may possibly knock you out if you don’t take care – while others will flee at your approach and ask to be approached for cover. Once at a good distance, you can either capture it directly or launch one of your Pokémon nearby to start a fight.

These will start without breaking with the exploration, where you are, and will revolve around an action frieze that can be modified by the statistics of each creature. We will no longer be on “one action per turn”, and you can even influence the course of the fight by opting for one of the two styles available, Powerful or Fast. The first will give more impact to the attacks but will slow down their frequencies, while the second will have precisely the opposite effect.

This Pokémon Presents also made it possible to confirm the starting trio which will be formed by Brindibou, Héricendre and Moustillon but also to discover regional versions of already known creatures, namely a local Bargantua and Caninos, adapted to the rigors of the climate of Hisui. Cerbyllin and Paragruel are also among the new Pokémon endemic to the region and the time of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
