A member of the fire brigade informs about rescue work in the village of Turček. According to initial information, the little boy was supposed to die after a lightning strike, but this was not confirmed. The construction of the tent was to surprise him. The matter is being dealt with by the police. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Tuesday. Firefighters reported that the storm damaged and overturned six tents with children. All rescue services and the post-traumatic intervention care team went to the scene of the tragedy.

Firefighters on site ensured the evacuation of people to a nearby Capuchin monastery. It was located about 1.5 kilometers from the camp. According to the director of the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps in Žilina, Jaroslav Kapusniak, the evacuation of children took about two and a half hours. The children from the camp handed them over to their parents in the morning.

Children from the summer tent camp in Turček in the district of Turčianske Teplice, which was hit by a windstorm on Tuesday night, were handed over to their parents in the morning. 25 members of the HaZZ intervened on the spot with 11 pieces of equipment, including evacuation buses of the rescue brigade in Žilina and the center in Lešť, summed up the director of the HaZZ.
