The carmaker from Sant’Agata commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the iconic Countach model in a truly magnificent way. The designers put the technology from the Aventador and Sián models into a retro body.

The limited edition Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 design primarily refers to the Countach LP400 version.

The carmaker Lamborghini is famous for its supersports models, which at the time of their creation shocked the automotive world, both in terms of technical parameters and bold design. The Lamborghini Countach was first introduced to the world in 1971 and lasted on the lines until 1990, when it was replaced by the Diablo model. There can be no doubt about the iconic nature of this car, which was also reflected in the form of the celebration of its 50th anniversary.

The limited edition Lamborghini Countach LPI 800–4 refers primarily to the Countach LP400 version. The front hood is straight and simple, and the headlights are reminiscent of the original taillights. At the rear, modernity was given priority, as simple lights are complemented by four lacquered exhaust pipe ends.

When viewed from the side, they are particularly attractive for the air intake openings, which extend from the door to the fenders. The door is, of course, hinged. At the front, the car has twenty-inch wheel discs, while at the rear there are up to twenty-one-inch wheels.

In terms of technology used, the Countach LPI 800-4 got the best Lamborghini has to offer. The main power source is a 6.5-liter atmospheric twelve-cylinder with an output of 573 kW (779 hp), which peaks at 8,500 rpm. The mentioned unit also powers the flagship, which is currently the Aventador model, but the “retro Countach” is a hybrid, so it got hybrid components from the rare derivative Sián.

In practice, this means the presence of an electric motor with an output of 25 kW (34 hp) powered by a 48-volt circuit from a supercapacitor. Together, 599 kW (814 hp) is transmitted to all wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission, which is sufficient for a maximum speed of 335 km / h. The limited version accelerates to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and doubles in 8.6 seconds.

The interior is again a mix of elements from different models. The steering wheel and seats come from Aventador and the dashboard, center console and door panels come from Sian. The specifics of the Countach LPI 800-4 are the 8.4-inch infotainment display, its unique appearance of ventilation vents and new upholstery. There will be a number of body paint colors to choose from, including shades inspired by the original offer.

A total of 112 pieces will be created from the limited edition. The carmaker did not disclose the price, but we can estimate a seven-digit amount.
