Although Veronika Cifrová Ostrihoňová gave birth to daughter Sára in a private hospital in Bratislava, son Šimon was born in Brno. “I learned more about the maternity hospital in Brno during the press conference, which I moderated, and where its representatives – the head and the head midwife – were invited. After the first visit a month before giving birth, I suspected that it would be the right choice, and the past days since Friday only confirmed it,” the presenter revealed now. So it was not a case of her suddenly giving birth during her stay in the Czech Republic, but she moved there on purpose to give birth. “We experienced a wonderful birth, according to our ideas, without any interventions, in the dark, in peace, with the famous guidance of midwife Markéta and doula Majka. And not only during the birth, but also after it, an empathetic, kind and respectful approach from all members of the hospital team,” Ostrihoňová stated the details of the birth on the Instagram social network. For many mothers who can afford it, a certain high standard is also important when choosing a maternity hospital. However, this was not the case for Veronika: “It is a standard hospital. Šimi had a cot in which, as Matej said, Masaryk was also carried. But the luxury consisted in the behavior and attitude of the staff.” As Veronika emphasized, women – mothers only need respect, empathy and basic compliance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
