Violet’s trauma: Three young women committed suicide… This is how we allow ourselves to be distorted and beaten! – Topky.sk

When Zuzana Vačková invited her colleague Zuzana Fialová to her show Zvedavá Zuza, she also wanted to talk to her about her directorial venture. And so she went to see him. And when word got out about the performance of Beauty Unseen, Vačková did not hide that it really affected her. She even seemed somewhat determined and had a hard time finding words. “I was struck by the things that we were taught in childhood, that we grew up with, that this is normal, and then it affects us, girls and women and mature women, a lot, that we let our lives be so distorted and *fear and we are not ourselves,” she finally declared. Photo gallery (3) Source: YouTube/Zvedavá Zuza As the SND website states, the game talks about how society instills in girls an idea of what they should be from a young age. Not only visually, but also mentally. What is their role in society, in the family. How they should be, how they should behave, how and what they should talk about. Fialová revealed that even old ladies who are around 70-80 years old are very affected and often cry after the performance. Their reactions can be summed up in one sentence: It’s a shame we didn’t have the courage to speak out when we were young, because we could have lived that life differently. As she emphasized, the act Krása nevidáná does not talk about men harming women. “This is a show about how women also hurt women, or actually how we hurt each other by using stereotypes in thinking, in education and in action, and that we actually accept them with the mother’s milk. It’s about the biggest crap in anyone’s life, whether it’s a boy, a woman, a girl, a man, that such a set of external circumstances distorts your life so much that you’re not happy,” she said. According to her, the greatest belief in an individual’s life should be that he has the right to happiness and the right to live his life authentically, happily. And it should be emphasized to everyone from an early age that he should like himself first and then others. “When we don’t learn to love ourselves, our love for others is fake. We just have to like each other,” says the well-known brunette. In the search, after searching in personal lives, she of course also went through the statistics and found out a sad fact. “Unfortunately, the vast majority of young girls in Slovakia have the problems of these women. I think a lot of women listening to us are going through the same problems of not self-esteem, not self-love, even self-loathing, problems of self-deprecation and even self-harm, because that includes eating disorders, not just cutting… These are cruel things that I’m talking about and more the crueler thing is that it really exists, and the cruelest thing is that those closest to you cannot see it. Young girls have an incredible ability not to let themselves be helped,” she assessed. Even during the creation of the show, she found that not one of the women in the room answered positively when asked if they liked each other. “The whole performance leads to learning to love ourselves and how we should actually do it, because we are forbidden to do so. We should love others, animals, dad, mom, make sacrifices, but no one will ever tell us: And now love yourself. Or: You have to love yourself,” she named one of the basic problems in the psyche of many people.
