Are you the expressive type? That’s good, because you might certainly be interested in this function ofAndroid 12. While Google is still refining the new version of its operating system for smartphones, we are indeed beginning to detect the additions. Among them, XDA Developers notes a new accessibility tool allowing you to control your phone … with your facial expressions.

Google had already offered navigation by gestures, but this new function will no longer even require the use of your hands. In the beta of Android 12 where this feature has been spotted, the system can detect an open mouth, a smile, a raised eyebrow, and eye movements. Each of these movements is linked to an action, configurable in the device settings, among which we find the possibility of performing the following actions:

To prevent your system from being too sensitive – by unintentionally triggering an action, for example – Android 12 allows you to select a duration during which the gesture must be performed in order to launch the related action. In addition, a blue notification icon indicates that the function is active. There is no doubt that this functionality will be refined by the launch of Android 12, expected shortly.
