Follow the Xavi-Sport press conference live

11:58 Xavi Hernández’s press conference ends. The coach will provide the squad list tomorrow. Thank you very much for following the appearance with us. It has been a real pleasure. Until next time! 11:56 Dembélé-Raphinha, two interchangeable wingers: “It depends on the sensations they have. Many times I tell them that I don’t mind if they change bands as long as both are occupied. It depends on the circumstances of the game and what I perceive me from the technical area”. 11:55 Frenkie de Jong: “I see him facing the game. It happens to him like me. I, with my back to the game, was not comfortable. Facing the game, he is a spectacular footballer. He divides, he has strength and physical power, arrival, pass… He can adapt to different positions. I see him more on the inside, but he can also be a pivot. I can’t imagine him as a winger”. 11:54 Management of expectations: “I feel that, now, the pressure is on me. I try to transmit this to the players so that they offer their talent, their best performance. The pressure is on me.” 11:52 Koundé’s adaptation: “I see him very well. He is aggressive, he marks the line well. We’ll see if he plays tomorrow. Right now we need outlets.” 11:52 Will Pablo Torre stay?: “We are assessing him. The problem is that we, from now on in ten days, will train very little. We will play and recover, we will play and recover…. We will talk to him and assess whether The best option is for him to go out on loan. Right now, the idea is for him to be in the dynamics of the first team and to have minutes”. 11:51 The right back demarcation: “This is the market. We were very clear with the planning. We wanted to sign Azpilicueta but it could not be. We have people with guarantees who can cover this position. Araujo was good the other day, Sergi Roberto, Koundé…”. 11:50 Koundé’s position: “I spoke with him and gave him my idea of the game. He is a central defender with a lot of category. He has experience, leadership, wins duels… We have signed an extraordinary footballer. At Barça, every game It’s a test. He can be a great player for us. He’s versatile, but I see him more as a central defender”. 11:48 The free-kick takers: “There is an order. And, from there, there are sensations. I remember when I met Leo [Messi] and El Guaje [Villa] and we talked about it. This year we have more specialists. Let’s see if we take advantage of the set pieces.”
