Sulík sees the whole situation clearly, everything leads to one thing: Is the government in danger of collapsing? – New time

Everything is leading to the SaS ministers resigning on August 31. The chairman of the party and Minister of the Economy, Richard Sulík, informed about this after Saturday’s coalition meeting in the government hotel Bôrik. The next meeting is scheduled for Friday (August 26), but Sulík does not see much sense in it. As he commented, the positions are clear. On Saturday, Sulík also proposed his resignation from his position, if that is to be the price for Matovič’s departure. However, he does not feel that the proposal would resonate. “Everything is leading to the fact that we will resign on August 31. The government does not fall with our departure, it can continue to rule. We will support proposals that we consider reasonable. We will expect the same approach from our former coalition partners,” concluded Sulík. SaS insists on the resignation of the Minister of Finance and OĽANO leader Igor Matovič from the government. According to Sulík, the points presented by Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽANO) are “cosmetics” compared to this requirement. “We are ready to discuss these points, they are rational, reasonable solutions, I think we will find an agreement, but all this only after our basic demand is met,” said Sulík. The Minister of Economy denies that he wants to run away from responsibility with his resignation. He once again declared that in the current difficult times it is impossible to be with Matovič in the government. “I have never experienced such chaotic governance,” he remarked. He does not see the solution in early elections. The meeting at the Bôrik hotel was supposed to contribute to solving the coalition crisis. The dispute in the government intensified after the parliament overrode the president’s veto during the so-called anti-inflation package from the workshop of the Minister of Finance and OĽANO leader Igor Matovič. The liberals stopped going to coalition councils, terminated the coalition agreement and are demanding a new one be revised. Their demand is also the departure of Matovič from the government. OĽANO refuses. SaS has declared that it is no longer part of the coalition and if its demands are not met by the end of August, ministers from the party will resign.
