Russia: “We will reduce trade in euros and dollars, they are toxic currencies”

Russia will reduce trade with its partners in the dollar and euro, currencies that have become “toxic”. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin said in an interview with TASS: “Against the growing geopolitical pressures of the ‘collective West’, the only way to guarantee the stability of trade, economic and investment links between Russia and its partners is to avoid the use of currencies that have become ‘toxic’, primarily the US dollar and the euro, and switch to acceptable alternatives, mainly in national currencies. ” The diplomat noted that the current global financial system built by Washington has proved “unsuitable for the conditions of a multipolar world order and has essentially become a tool for achieving the political goals of a group of countries.” current conditions the West intends to continue to abuse its privileged position – continued Pankin – It is encouraging to see that many nations, considering the sanctions against Russia extraordinary and illegitimate, are thinking about the need to de-dollarize foreign economic activity in order to guarantee one’s own sovereignty. As we have seen, if there is political will, the question can be resolved “.
