OM – FC Nantes: the probable compositions – Foot Mercato

The follow-up after this advertisement Third in Ligue 1 after two days, Olympique de Marseille has the opportunity to take second place in the championship from Olympique Lyonnais, a clear winner of Troyes on Friday evening but who have a late match . Winners of Stade de Reims (4-1) on the first day, the Olympians remain, however, on a happy draw in Brest (1-1) last weekend. In Brittany, despite a goal from Nuno Tavares (38th), Igor Tudor’s men were indeed joined in the second half on a goal from Pierre Lees-Melou (61st). In the lair of the Orange Vélodrome, the Marseille club is therefore preparing to cross swords with FC Nantes, which is in thirteenth place with two units. Beaten by Paris Saint-Germain in the Trophée des Champions (0-4), the Canaries then went on to draw two draws in two days against Angers (0-0) and Lille (1-1). In Marseille, the men of Antoine Kombouaré will therefore have the opportunity to definitively launch their season. OM still without Payet! For this meeting, OM should be able to rely on a full squad. Coming into play against Brest, Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez could honor his first tenure in Igor Tudor’s 3-4-2-1. Despite the return of Pau Lopez, Ruben Blanco should start in goal. In front of him, Balerdi, Gigot and Mbemba will form the three-man defense. Well helped by Tavares and Clauss, present in the roles of pistons, Veretout and Rongier will compose the Marseille midfield. Supported by Gerson and Guendouzi, Sanchez should therefore experience his big first in Marseille. For its part, FC Nantes will be deprived of the services of Moussa Sissoko. The French midfielder has a hamstring injury and is out for three weeks. Therefore, Antoine Kombouaré should opt for a 3-4-1-2. In front of Lafont, established in the Nantes cages, Castelletto, Girotto and Pallois will form the defensive trio. In the midfield, Chirivella and Moutoussamy will be associated while Corchia and Merlin will evolve as pistons. In a playmaker role, Blas will be responsible for feeding the attacking duo formed by Simon and Guessand.
