Fatal collision in Ariège: four members of a family from Deux-Sèvres died – Ouest-France

A terrible head-on collision occurred in Ariège on Friday August 19, on a road linking Toulouse to Andorra. Two vehicles collided head-on around 3:40 p.m. near Savignac-les-Ormeaux, near Ax-les-Thermes. The shock was particularly violent on this portion of two-lanes without a central reservation, specifies our colleague La Dépêche du Midi who was on site. The Niort prosecutor’s office reported that one of the two vehicles, a Toyota Corolla on board which were a couple and two children, was registered in Deux-Sèvres. According to our information, it is a family from Nueil-les-Aubiers, near Bressuire. The parents and two of the couple’s children – an 11-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl – died in the accident. The eldest son, aged 19, had remained in the Bocage for his work. Amélie Robin, deputy prosecutor at the Foix prosecutor’s office, indicated that an investigation for manslaughter was open. The Foix research brigade was seized to shed light on this dramatic accident which left six dead and several injured. The two injured in absolute emergency were airlifted to Purpan hospital in Toulouse. chevron_leftchevron_right
