Sanna Marin undergoes a drug test – Faro de Vigo

The Finnish Prime Minister, Sanna Marin, has undergone a drug test after receiving criticism from the opposition when a leaked video was released on social networks in which she appears at a party with friends. In the recording, the leader of Finland appears dancing with different public figures, including the deputy Ilmari Nurminen, of the Social Democratic Party, as well as the presenters Tinni Wikstrom and Karoliina Tuominen, or the ‘influencer’ Janita Autio. Marin, who immediately came out to give explanations, already pointed out that she has “nothing to hide.” “I haven’t used drugs, so testing is not a problem. But I also think that it is quite special that something like this is required, ”she explained to journalists this Thursday, according to the Finnish newspaper ‘Helsingin Sanomat’. The same means of communication advances that Sanna Marin has announced that she has already undergone a drug test, from which results will be obtained within a week. Marin defended that she “has a family life, a work life” and “free time” that she spends with her friends, so she feels disappointed by the publication of this video on social networks. “I’m sorry they were published,” she added. The leader of the conservative Finns Party, Riikka Purra, and MP Mikko Karna, demanded that Marin submit to a drug test. “I will not let anyone blackmail me, under any circumstances with any material,” she said, reiterating that she was disappointed the video was made public. “I had free time and I spent it with my friends and I didn’t do anything illegal.” In December, Marin faced heavy criticism from the media after enjoying a night on the town knowing that she had been exposed to the coronavirus.
