PSG: “Neymar has trouble digesting that Mbappé is at the top of the project”, says Rothen – RMC Sport

Jérôme Rothen believes on RMC antennas that PSG sold a project without Neymar to Kylian Mbappé, hence the recent disputes between the two men. And according to him, the Brazilian striker “is visibly struggling to digest that Mbappé is at the top of the project”. “I’m not going to run into him because he has just arrived, he is trying to smooth things over, ’round the corners. He does not want to create controversy, we are not yet at the end of August”: Jérome Rothen does not want to overwhelm Christophe Galtier about the disagreements between Kylian Mbappé and Neymar and in particular after the ‘penaltygate’ during the match against Montpellier.” On the other hand, there is a problem within the club compared to everything that has been sold to Kylian so that he can stay, believes the RMC consultant in Rothen ignites. He there are things that don’t hold true. It’s a problem of hierarchy (…) In my opinion, [Kylian Mbappé] doesn’t have a problem with Neymar because he never asked Neymar to leave the club. It is the club that sold him a project where he is at the forefront of this project and that he was without Neymar at the base. “At the first gap, at the first hitch, there will be problems between the two “Rothen then explains that “the Qataris wanted to sell or at worst loan” the Parisian number 10. “How did Neymar accept that, how does he digest it?, he asks. Apparently he has trouble digesting to accept the fact that Kylian is at the top of the project and that he is behind. That’s a real problem”. This Friday, the PSG coach wanted to bury the controversy over last Saturday’s penalty at the Parc des Princes, calling it an “epiphenomenon”. The former midfielder also plans a complicated season in the locker room between Mbappé and Neymar “If there are ego problems, and I can say that this is the reality, it will be difficult to manage for the staff, not only for Christophe Galtier but also for Luis Campos, Antero Henrique, the president, the club, the Emir, the supporters, he believes. It’s going to be complicated, at the first gap, at the first hitch, there will be problems between the two “.” Because Galtier has a nice speech and has changed tactically, all the problems are solved?” the two are together, recalls Rothen. We have seen good and bad things. Today there is a new project. It wasn’t me who said it, it was the president who brought it. At the very top of this project is Kylian Mbappé. It means they want to change things. Today, you are not going to tell me (…) that just the arrival of Christophe Galtier and Luis Campos, and the return of Antero Henrique who is coming back from I don’t know where, that will settle all the problems”. According to the consultant, the Parisian project for the current season is not yet finished, especially at the level of the recruits. “When you look at the typical team today, it is the team of the last year apart from Vitinha, he notes. Because Christophe Galtier has a nice speech and has changed tactically, all the problems are solved? Don’t mess around! I think that for the moment they have not yet managed to put everything in place in relation to the project sold so that Kylian stays. We will wait, there is until September 2”. Until then, PSG will want to continue their faultless. Starting with a trip to Lille this Sunday evening. JAu with Rothen ignites
