Heger came up with an idea to solve the coalition crisis: Will SaS back down?! – New time

Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽANO) will propose an amendment to the coalition agreement at Saturday’s (August 20) coalition meeting on solving the government crisis. As he declared, during the two years of governing, things became clear that could be set up better. He believes that SaS will take a step back and the coalition of four will continue. According to the words of the Prime Minister, SaS initiated a new coalition agreement a few weeks ago, but so far he has not received any concrete proposals for change from the party. “On Saturday, I will therefore come up with specific proposals that I would like to discuss with the coalition partners,” said Heger. According to the prime minister, the coalition agreement should be fine-tuned to reflect the experience of the previous government. Heger claims that Slovakia needs a stable government even in view of the unprecedented challenges the country is facing. “We have many good projects underway, and in order to be able to implement them, individual departments must work without a break,” the prime minister stated. He thinks that will be the biggest deciding factor in the debates on Saturday. “I believe that the SaS will be willing to take a step back and will be able to continue cooperation within the four-coalition in the fall,” he said.
