Storms and rain are expected to occur in western and central Slovakia. The warning is valid from Friday 3:00 p.m. to Saturday (8/20) 6:00 a.m. “The intensity of the accompanying phenomena is common at the given time of year and area, but it can cause damage of a smaller scale. During storms, human activities can be limited and health can be at risk,” remind the meteorologists. They concluded that intense rain can cause a temporary rise in water levels in small streams and the occurrence of floods outside the streams.
