Rosny-sous-Bois: police officers open fire on a car after refusing to comply – franceinfo

Police officers opened fire in Rosny-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis) on a car which had been chased after a refusal to comply in Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne), indicated the Paris police headquarters on Twitter, Tuesday August 17. The driver of the vehicle then fled.

In Nogent, refusal to comply with a vehicle which flees towards Rosny, taken in charge by the police. The vehicle turned around and struck the motorcycle of one of the police officers, which fell to the ground.

Two videos posted on Twitter and shot from inside a RATP bus show two police officers, members of a motorcycle unit, shooting at a car as it begins to reverse. Nine detonations are perceptible.

After being chased, “the vehicle [a] turn around and [a] hit[é] the motorcycle of one of the policemen who [a] hush[é] on the ground“, detailed the police headquarters to explain the use of weapons.

“The personnel of the national police tried to apprehend an individual at the wheel of a car. Faced with the attempted forcible passage of the driver, the police officers were forced to open fire on rue Jean Jaurès”, also wrote the mayor of Rosny-sous-Bois, Jean-Paul Fauconnet, in a message posted on Facebook, assuring “that no injuries are to be deplored”.
