People are asked to respect the ban issued in connection with the drought and heat. Its compliance is controlled by the city police. “In the past weeks, not only our environmental patrols in the Bratislava forest park, but also the city police officers from Petržalka, for example, encountered several violations that they had to deal with,” states the city police on the social network. He reminds that the firemen have banned the setting of fires not only in the city forests, but in the entire cadastre of Bratislava. This also applies to forests outside the forest park, for example on Devínská Kobyla or floodplain forests. “We are not allowed to start fires even in the places that are designated for it,” emphasizes the city organization. Therefore, he calls on forest visitors to be more responsible. He reminds them that with prevailing drought and heat, the probability of a fire, for example, even from an insufficiently extinguished fire, is very high. The Fire and Rescue Department of the Slovak capital, Bratislava, has declared a time of increased fire danger in the capital from July 4 until further notice. During this period, it is forbidden to start a fire, even on designated fireplaces, to smoke or use an open flame on forest land, to burn vegetation or throw burning objects.
