Stéphanie Von Euw said on BFMTV that she had this information from the lawyer for the victim’s family, whom she was able to reach on Monday morning. The city councilor specifies that the latter remains hospitalized for the time being. The girl was playing tag with an 11-year-old child when both were hit by a biker in the Hauts de Marcouville district. It was around 9:30 p.m. Severely hit in the leg, the boy was evacuated by the emergency room. The young girl, for her part, suffered a major head trauma, from which she could retain significant neurological sequelae. She underwent head surgery the day after the tragedy at the Necker hospital. The suspect indicted The suspect, who had fled after the collision, went to the Cergy police station the same day with his lawyer. Unfavorably known to the police for driving without a licence, the 18-year-old man was placed on provisional examination for “involuntary injuries resulting in total incapacity for work for more than three months”, aggravated by two circumstances: the hit-and-run and the breach of security obligations. The improvement in the young girl’s state of health is news, insisted Stéphanie Von Euw, “which gives us a little balm in our hearts after this extremely complicated week”, in reference in particular at the urban rodeo on the sidelines of which a 27-year-old man was killed by firearm on Sunday, in Colmar, in the Haut-Rhin. The victim had previously asked the scooter driver to cease his activity. An altercation broke out and the man was fatally shot in the chest.
