The unnamed mother made a post on the Mumsnet forum which almost immediately attracted the attention of other mothers. A woman said she recently found a nasty note addressed to her four-year-old daughter. The note was said to be signed by a girl her daughter had recently befriended. However, the mother believes that the author of the message could actually be an older, eight-year-old girl. The British portal mirror.co.uk drew attention to the case. But she’s not sure if she should talk to the parents of the two children involved. Their faces were caught on a doorbell camera as they tried to deliver a nasty note to their door. Source: Getty Images “I came home tonight and my partner showed me the link. ‘I didn’t want to tell you while you were at work, but two little girls put it in the mailbox for our daughter,’ he said. It was a nice looking card with my daughter’s name on it, but with an ugly note inside, signed with the name of a little girl who lives around the corner,” the woman explained in the post. “Two girls are from our housing estate and they are eight and four years old. The girls are good friends, but lately the younger one has been playing with my daughter. She even came to our house last week to play for a while. While they were playing, I heard a little girl tell my daughter that she didn’t want to be friends with her anymore. My daughter didn’t seem to mind and they didn’t seem like they had an argument,” the mother wrote. She did not tell her daughter about the incident or show her the note. She also attached a photo of a pig-themed note with the sentence, “I hate you,” scrawled in a child’s handwriting. Women on the forum encouraged the mom to talk to the parents of both girls, especially if the message was caught on camera. “That’s terrible, I’d go talk to the moms. It doesn’t have to be nasty, just get the facts straight and say you’re angry on behalf of your child. I’m glad your daughter didn’t see it,” one commenter wrote. “If you have it on camera, I would go straight to them to talk to the parents. It’s a terrible thing for children,” wrote another. “I would absolutely want to know if my child did this and I would be mad at him. And if my son got it, I would be at their door asking for an explanation,” added a third.
