One year after the fall of Kabul, meeting with these Afghans condemned to forced exile

A year ago, the collapse of the Afghan state and the flight of President Ashraf Ghani plunged the entire Afghan society into uncertainty. The army, which failed to defend the capital, also disintegrated, condemning tens of thousands of men and their families to forced exile. Mathieu Mabin and Fanny Allard met some of these men near Washington.
