yesterday 23:39 | MMA fighter Vojto Barborík was the first Slovak in history to make his debut in the prestigious PFL (Professional Fighters League) organization, in which his opponent was the Italian Maxim Radu (9-2). Vojto Barborík (13-2) fought for the first time at the tournament in Cardiff after a very difficult 25-minute match in the Octagon against champion Ivan Buchinger in September. Almost a year ago, he lost on points. The Italian Maxim Radu chose a quick start and scored a successful takedown immediately at the start. Maxim Radu then tried to get into half guard, but Vojto Barborík squirmed like a snake. Thanks to this, he “escaped” from the trap, he even got upstairs and was preparing for the guillotine. At 1:15, however, the Slovakian fighter’s right knee failed. When he was turning Maxima Rada during a single leg, Vojto Barborík twisted his knee so badly that the joint could not withstand it when stepping on his back leg. So Vojto Barborík had to give up and Maxim Radu won by TKO. The Slovak fighter sat on the floor of the octagon for a long time, unable to even stand up.
