Samsung Galaxy S22: screen, photo and battery, the alleged technical sheets are emerging – Frandroid

Several information is already circulating around the future Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra, in particular on their screens, cameras and batteries.

We are still in August, but the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra are already gently talking about them. However, they are expected, at the earliest, in January 2022. The leaker famous Ice Universe posted on his Weibo account some information about the supposed technical sheets of the three future high-end smartphones.

the leaker claims to have gleaned information about the screens, cameras and batteries of each of the models. Let’s start with the slabs, Ice Universe tunes his violins with previous sources by predicting similar characteristics.

• Galaxy S22: 6.06 inches, LTPS, Full HD +, 120 Hz;
• Galaxy S22 +: 6.55 inches, LTPS, Full HD +, 120 Hz;
• Galaxy S22 Ultra: 6.81 inch, LTPO, QHD +; 120 Hz.

Some changes in the photo

As for the photo configuration, the Galaxy S22 and S22 + would share the same module and the latter would experience notable changes compared to the previous generation. Remember, the Galaxy s21 and S21 + relied on a main 12-megapixel sensor to which were associated a fairly classic ultra-wide-angle and a 64-megapixel sensor which managed not only the 64 Mpx mode and 8K videos, but also the zooms which exploited a software solution promising no loss up to x3 magnification.

On the Galaxy S22 and S22 +, Samsung would change its mind and apparently go back to a slightly less convoluted formula with:

• a 50 megapixel main sensor;
• a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle;
• a 12-megapixel x3 (optical) telephoto lens.

In short, smartphones would gain a main sensor with a larger definition as well as an optical zoom, but would lose in return the 64 Mpx sensor. Are you still following?

Well, let’s move on to the Galaxy S22 Ultra where the improvements seem easier to summarize. The most sophisticated model would thus always be equipped with a main sensor of 108 megapixels – probably of new generation – and an ultra wide-angle of 12 megapixels. On the other hand, its two telephoto lenses, x3 and x10, would go from 10 to 12 megapixels compared to the S21 Ultra.

Smaller batteries

Finally, the 5000 mAh battery would remain unchanged on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. On the other hand, the Galaxy S22 and S22 + would compose with less significant capacities compared to the predecessors, respectively 3800 and 4600 mAh instead of 4000 and 4800 mAh. In return, phones should enjoy better fast charging.

All the elements advanced by Ice Universe should be taken with a grain of salt. the leaker has built up a pretty good reputation over the past few years, but it has never been immune to error. Anyway, the fishery for information is open around the Samsung Galaxy S22.
