“I consider it crazy that this government is unable to accept a decision and a solution and needs further analyses. Every day of hesitation means a deepening of the crisis and disruption of the healthcare system,” said Dolinková. According to her, Tuesday’s discussion about the salaries of health workers at the Government Office of the Slovak Republic confirmed the prime minister’s inability to solve the problem. As she added, the best solution for Slovakia is the immediate departure of this government. “At a time when all the surrounding countries are protecting their health workers and immediately increased their salaries, our government is unable to do anything in two and a half years,” stated Dolinková. Negotiations to increase the salaries of health workers will continue at the Slovak Government Office on Monday (August 15). Their representatives did not receive a specific proposal to increase the salaries of doctors and nurses at Tuesday’s meeting. After its end, the head of the Medical Trade Union Association, Peter Visolajský, announced it.
