A red Saturday in both directions in France, and even black in the Southeast. On this new summer vacation weekend, traffic is difficult across the country. Bison Fûté noted a peak of traffic jams of 1,082.5 km at 12.15 p.m. this Saturday August 6 at midday. It is therefore a record, last Saturday July 30 the peak had reached 863 km in the middle of the crossover of the Juillet and Aoutiens! First traffic jams early in the morning The first difficulties appeared very early on Saturday, with an accident on the A7 in Drôme. A truck hit a guardrail, there were no injuries but the accident caused 36 kilometers of traffic jams. The level of congestion is concentrated in particular in the west of the country on the A10 and in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes on the A7. The highways recorded 157.9 km and 181.3 km of disruption respectively at the height of the morning. Concerning the Mediterranean arc, the difficulties are mainly on the A9 in the direction of Narbonne. A7, A63, A61 and A9 concentrate the difficulties At midday on the A7 it took 4h45 to connect Lyon and Orange, against an hour and a half normally. You also have to be patient on the A63 with a 4h45 drive between Poitiers and Bordeaux compared to two hours in normal times. An additional hour’s journey also from Toulouse to Narbonne on the A61, on the A9 from Orange to Narbonne, on the A10 from Saint-Arnoult to Poitiers.
