A 46-year-old tourist died after falling while descending from the Kvetnica tower – Topky.sk

The rescuers were contacted on Friday afternoon via the 112 emergency line by a Polish high-altitude tourist “who reported the failure of her partner in the Velická dolina above Sliezsky dom”. As it turned out, the pair were descending unsecured over exposed terrain when the man slipped and fell approximately 50 meters down a vertical wall. “The rescuers transported the man’s body to the morgue in Stary Smokovec, where they handed it over to the summoned members of the Police Force and the funeral service.
