Martin Škrtel Source: TASR/Lukáš Grinaj TRNAVA – Although the 104-time Slovak national team player Martin Škrtel has officially ended his professional career, he will probably still put on his football boots a few more times. From Spartak Trnava, he is going on loan to the club FK Hajskala Ráztočno, which operates in the VIII. league “A” within the Prievidza Regional Football Association. Škrtel made a promise to his native village that he would return one day, and now that time has come. If his health allows, fans can see him in a few more games. “For now it’s over for me, but I believe that I will get my back together to such an extent that it will allow me to play at least a few matches for my native Ráztočno. I made a promise that one day I would come to play in Trnava and I made the same promise to the boys from Ráztočno. So I believe that I will succeed,” the 2010 WC and EURO 2016 participant said in May after his last match. Author: © Zoznam Source: sportsmen, TASR
