The last one that the Spanish Medicines Agency warns about is tinnitus and it is associated with AstraZeneca. Tinnitus is called ringing or whistling that is heard in one or both ears, without there being an external sound that causes it. According to Health, tinnitus is not a disease, but a symptom derived from a health problem that affects hearing or from an adverse effect of a medication. They explain that it can appear after the administration of Vaxzervria, with a frequency of less than 1 in 100 vaccinated people, so it is a rare adverse effect. In Spain, until July 10, 2022, 119 notifications of tinnitus had been registered after the administration of Vaxzevria and about 9.8 million doses of this vaccine had been administered.
