The red outdoor lighting will turn off after dark after only three hours instead of the previous six, it will change the form of heating the lawn or only run cold water in the toilets. The steps taken by Bundesliga champion Bayern, reported by Bild, are related to the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin after his troops invaded Ukraine. The whole of Europe is worried about restrictions on the supply of gas and energy and is adopting cost-saving measures. Others that Bayern will introduce include limiting the air conditioning throughout the stadium, including the VIP boxes. “In order to fulfill our ambitions in the area of sustainability, we have been working on reducing energy consumption for a long time. Due to the current crisis, we have intensified these activities again,” said the financial director of the championship club for the last ten years, Jan-christian Dreessen.
