According to the police, they registered 14 reports of such fraud attempts on Wednesday (August 3). In the aforementioned cases, the fraudster pretended to be a doctor or a nurse who contacted an elderly person with information that their son or daughter had a traffic accident, had an injured tongue and could not communicate. Furthermore, the fraudster stated that a small boy was injured in the accident, and for this reason they should send him money so that the police will not deal with the case. In another case, the fraudster pretended to be a police officer, who was investigating whether the senior had withdrawn money from the bank and how much cash he had at home, as there was to be a robbery. The police remind people to communicate intensively with their elderly relatives in order not to become a victim of fraudsters.
