Apple’s year-end is busy: iPhone, AirPods, Mac, iPad and more

Bloomberg media looks back on Apple’s busy schedule for the end of the year.

Bis repetitas. As in 2020, Apple seems to have concentrated many announcements for the end of the year. Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg reporter who is often knowledgeable when it comes to Apple, gives an update on the apple’s plans.

Small year for the iPhone

Each fall, the new iPhone is obviously the most anticipated product. Here, however, it would be the least exciting novelty planned by Apple. And for good reason, iPhone 13 should keep the design of the iPhone 12 and only bring a few new things.

Mark Gurman basically mentions a move to a 120Hz screen for Pro models, a mode always-on potential, an obviously more powerful A15 chip and a more powerful camera.

The big chunk: the MacBook Pro M1X

The most recent 16-inch MacBook Pro, the current model, was unveiled by Apple in November 2019, almost 2 years ago. It is therefore high time for a fundamental change.

It is this new MacBook Pro that would mark a big change for Apple at the end of the year. The production has already started. In particular, we should find in the machine an Apple M1X chip more powerful than that of the MacBook Air and the iMac. The other changes planned are numerous: new design, MagSafe reloading, more ports with the return of HDMI and SD card reader.

iPad mini

Still according to Mark Gurman, it is this year that the iPad mini should have the right to a new design. Like the iPad Air before, it should lose bezels around the screen and gain performance.

This new iPad mini would be aimed at students. We can hope for a price that would remain contained, despite these design changes.

AirPods

The classic AirPods would also gain features that were previously reserved for Pro models, including the design of the headphones.

Mark Gurman believes that this is the most significant change for AirPods since the product’s inception in 2016.

Busy end of the year

With all these new products and in addition to the novelties, we imagine, for its services, Apple will have a lot to tell. As in 2020, we can easily imagine that the firm will distribute its announcements throughout the end of the year from month to month.
