Sevilla FC 3-0 Rayo Vallecano
Goals: En-Nesyri (19e, sp) & Lamela (55e & 79e) for Seville
Expulsion: L. Zidane (16e) for Rayo
Luca Zidane’s season is getting off to a perfect start.
Just back in La Liga with Rayo Vallecano, the goalkeeper spent only fifteen minutes on the lawn of Sánchez-Pizjuán, at the start of this new exercise. The time to be excluded for a very slight fault – but canceling a certain goal – on an Osama Idrissi who had mystified him in the box after an opening by Diego Carlos. What immediately put his team in trouble, with a dry setback at the end (3-0) due in particular to an Erik Lamela twice scorer for his debut in La Liga.
Because Youssef En-Nesyri did not need to be asked, on the penalty against substitute Stole Dimitrievski (19e), to start Sevilla FC. After the break, Lamela came off the bench and the Argentinian took less than ten minutes to open his counter, with success, on a shot deflected by Alejandro Catena (55e). And at the end of the game, the same En-Nesyri served Lamela on a platter for the latter’s double (79e). Largely domineering, Julen Lopetegui’s men could even have added a fourth pawn with a little more baraka.
With their “Foot Locker” jersey, the Blanquirrojos are good in their sneakers.
