In all, 46 people suspected of being involved in the assassination of volunteer Djamel Ben Ismail, lynched and then burned last Wednesday in Larbaa Nath Irathen were arrested by the security forces. Another group of people is on the run.

Among those who fell in the net of the security services is the administrator of the Facebook page who filmed and shared the images of the horrific death of the young volunteer, reported Le Jeune Indépendant, adding that 12 other people suspected of having taken part in this barbaric act are still sought after.

Last Wednesday, the young volunteer Djamel Ben Ismail, originally from Meliana, in the wilaya of Aïn Defla, was lynched and then his body burned by an overheated crowd who suspected him of being behind the fires ravaging the region.

In fact, the youngster had come to Larbaa Nath Irathen to participate in the fire extinguishing operations.
