The indignation materializes in a petition, launched by the founder of the site Grossesse imprévue, which has collected more than 15,000 signatures. It asks the Superior council of audio-visual (CSA) to oblige C8 to establish “a contextualization of this program”, recalling in particular “that the right to voluntary termination of pregnancy (Abortion) is anchored in French law “.

The audiovisual regulator recalled on Twitter that “the channels freely determine the choice of their programs” and as such “he does not intervene in the programming of the channels”.

The C8 channel, which has not commented on the broadcast of this film, will also devote most of its antenna to Catholic content on Sunday, the feast of the Assumption. It will broadcast a mass celebrated from the sanctuary of Cotignac (Var) by Dominique Rey, bishop of Fréjus-Toulon, before the miniseries John Paul II and movies Mother Teresa and Saint Philip Neri.
