The shooting of Bratislava firefighters revealed a terrifying secret. They found a human head and other remains in the oven. The man who fired several shots at them was carrying two legally owned guns. However, the police have now solved another big puzzle. They already found out who the man dismembered. The day after the terrible discovery, police officers from the Bratislava Regional Crime Branch conducted four house searches, searches of non-residential premises and a motor vehicle. “From the actions and findings carried out so far, it can be reasonably assumed that the injured woman was shot in the corridor of the apartment on Tokajícká street. A preliminary expert examination showed that the cause of her death was gunshot wounds to the head and neck,” the police said on the social network. The perpetrator then tried to cover up and clean up the crime scene. “Subsequently, her body was dismembered and taken to Alibernetová Street, where the perpetrator tried to dispose of the woman’s remains in a home-made oven,” the police added. The police already know the identity of the killed and dismembered woman. This is a 68-year-old neighbor of the perpetrator. The initial information that it should be the killer’s relative was not confirmed. During the searches, the police seized eight firearms with about 10,000 rounds of ammunition. In addition to them, they also found cold weapons, knives, machetes, as well as professional literature in the field of criminalistics and notes related to the construction of the furnace. This proves about the possible preparation for this heinous act. ​What happened on the fateful day? Smoke could already be felt on Sunday night. One of the residents went to alert the man. “He was sitting there on a chair and burning something there. One of the neighbors tells him to turn it off because it stinks. He didn’t mean to just smile, so they called the firemen. I came with my dog ​​at eight o’clock and heard three shots,” the neighbor recalls. He started shooting precisely because the firemen revealed his terrifying secret. They found the remains of the aforementioned woman in the oven. The man was later found dead. One of the firefighters had to be operated on in one of the Bratislava hospitals. However, his life was not in danger.​
