The heat will hit Slovakia in full force. Residents in districts where one might not expect temperatures close to forty should be on their guard. The situation will be most critical on Thursday (July 21). Meteorologists report temperatures of 38 to 39 degrees Celsius in a total of thirteen regions, in addition to the southern regions, it will also be hot in the central part of Slovakia. Specifically, it concerns the districts of Lučenec, Detva, Veľký Krtíš, Krupina, Zvolen, Žiar nad Hronom, Žarnovica, Levice, Partizánske, Topoľčany, Nové Zámky, Komárno, Piešťany. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) has already extended level three heat warnings to other districts.
