The Kia XCeed is updated: more modern and youthful – Cubic Centimeters

In a market in which SUV-type passenger cars do not stop increasing their sales quota, the reality is that even today there are alternatives that manage to conquer the general public. One of the best examples is the Kia XCeed, the ‘crossover’ version of its compact Ceed. The Kia XCeed has become a real sales success, allowing the brand to grow in a segment that, yes, is more than competitive. The Kia XCeed has also been in charge of offering an electrified alternative in the C segment within the brand, also allowing it to gain followers in that market. Now the Kia XCeed is renewed following in the footsteps of his brother Ceed. He does it subtly, being an update that, yes, allows to improve its attractiveness and refresh an image that on the other hand was not perceived aged or worn in any case. Externally, the changes are slight, focusing on the front where a new bumper and sharper and sportier headlamps are released, in line with the lines that the Kia Ceed and Kia ProCeed premiered a few months ago. The Kia XCeed also receives new body colors as well as new alloy wheel designs. On the other hand, at the rear the XCeed receives new optical groups, which although they do not change in their exterior design, they do change in the interior where, depending on the chosen finish, they have one design or another since, for the first time , the Kia XCeed receives the GT Line finish reserved, to date, for the Kia Ceed and Kia ProCeed. Kia Xce 2023 | Kia Inside, meanwhile, the appearance of the buttons on the steering wheel and the interior rearview mirror has been improved, which is now more modern. New options are also added in terms of upholstery for seats and door panels. At the mechanical level there are hardly any changes, the only novelty being the appearance of the 120 hp 1.0 T-GDi variant with a 48V microhybridization system, which gives it the ECO label. This label is the same as the already existing 1.5 T-GDi 160 CV MHEV and 1.6 CRDi MHEV 136 CV. The PHEV plug-in hybrid version is maintained with 141 hp and a range in electric mode of 48 km in mixed cycle, as well as the 120 hp 1.0 T-GDi and 201 hp 1.6 T-GDi petrol versions.
