Shooting in Bratislava: One dead, injured firefighter and another body! The police have started several criminal prosecutions – Topky.sk

At first glance, the whole case started with an ordinary trip of firefighters to a fire in a garden house. After the firefighters arrived at the scene, however, they were in for a shock. Someone started shooting at them, even shot one of them and the man ended up in the hospital with three gunshot wounds, luckily his life was not in danger. The police subsequently found the body of a man at the scene, most likely the shooter. As it turns out, the case is even more complicated. Another body was found. The investigator has therefore already started several criminal prosecutions. “In connection with yesterday’s case of shooting on Alibernetova Street in Bratislava, in which a member of the Fire and Rescue Service was injured, the investigator of the Bratislava Regional Criminal Investigation Department has started a criminal investigation into the crime of attempted murder,” the Bratislava Regional Police said. At the same time, the investigator also initiated a criminal prosecution in the matter of the criminal offense of murder – for the violent death of the suspect, as well as criminal prosecution in the matter of the criminal offense of homicide in connection with the discovery of the body remains of an unknown person, which were found on the plot of the family house at the indicated address. “It is not excluded that in the course of the investigation, the legal qualification of some of the acts may change,” the police added. “Given the fact that the police officers of the Bratislava Criminal Investigation Department are currently carrying out the necessary procedural actions in this matter, searches of apartments and other premises, we will provide more detailed information only when the procedural situation is established,” they added.
