The magnitude 7.2 earthquake occurred 12 km from Saint-Louis-du-Sud, in Haiti’s southwest peninsula, more than 250 km from the border with the Dominican Republic.

There is, reports the reporter, “lots of damages”, “We are starting to find the corpses under the rubble”. According to Ralph Simon, the earthquake mainly hit the department of Grand’Anse, where the town of Jérémie is located.
