For the 25-year-old defenseman, this is the third contract in the NHL. After the 2022/2023 season, his three-year contract, in which he earns an average of 2.950 million dollars per season, will end. He could become a restricted free agent after it expired. The new contract will start from the 2023/2024 season and expire in 2031. Černak has been working in the Lightning organization since February 2017, when the club acquired him in exchange from the Los Angeles Kings. He helped “Bleskom” to two triumphs in the Stanley Cup, while in 2022 they were not enough for Colorado in the finals. Černák has five seasons in the NHL, during which he played a total of 226 games in the regular season with a record of 16 goals, 43 assists and 51 plus points. In 73 playoff games, he scored two goals and added 17 assists and 13 “pluses.” In addition to the Slovak defender, the management of Tampa Bay also secured the services of Canadian forward Anthony Cirelli and Russian defender Mikhail Sergachev, who also signed eight-year contracts.
