Warren Barguil (Arkéa-Samsic), 10th in the 11th stage between Albertville and the Col du Granon won by Vingegaard: “I said to myself: if we don’t try anything, we have nothing. I preferred to try so as not to have any regrets. It was very far, too far. The valley (before the last climb) completely finished me off. At the foot, I completely stumbled and I knew it was going to be complicated. But it’s good to open the road to the Tour, especially in such a beautiful stage, taking the lead at Galibier, it’s not given to everyone. After a few years of hardship, I’m happy to find a correct level, I’ll try again by the end of the Tour. I am a fighter, I will give everything until the end of the Tour”.
