Another wave of warm air is headed for our area. Temperatures in Slovakia will once again exceed +30 °C, but fortunately such high temperatures are only expected to be temporary. Next weekend should be a bit cooler again. Slovakia has more summer days ahead of it, after a wave of stable and colder weather. However, the tropical temperatures that await us will not heat up Slovakia for long. Just before the weekend, it will cool down, while Western Europe will literally “melt”, The tide of warm air will be renewed. Currently, our territory is located in a colder, marine northwesterly current, which brought below-average temperature to us in the past few days. During Tuesday, the temperatures in Slovakia, with the exception of northern and eastern Slovakia, were already at the level of the long-term temperature norm, and from Wednesday we are expecting temperatures again above the level of the long-term temperature average. The nature of the weather will now change in Slovakia. Warmer air will reach us from the west, which will bring temperatures climbing above +30 °C. This is quite unusual, because usually such temperatures are only brought by southerly or south-westerly currents, but because warm air has already flowed over Western Europe, it has overheated the atmosphere and brings temperatures climbing to +40 °C, so now this warm air can reach from the west over our territory. Temperatures will climb up to +33 °C Already from Wednesday, we are expecting mostly changeable weather with very high temperatures. They will range from +23 to +29 °C in our territory, but in the East Slovak Lowland and in western Slovakia, temperatures can reach up to +33 °C. Tropical days await us again, which you can use for time spent by the pool. Expected temperatures will be 5 °C higher than normal for the current time of year. But use the heat! Already on the night from Thursday to Friday, another cooling will come to Slovakia. The weekend will be pleasant. On Friday night, a cold front will pass through Slovakia, which will bring precipitation mainly to the northern districts of Slovakia. Thunderstorms can occasionally occur. Again, however, it will not be heavy precipitation, as the cold front will only hit us with its edge. In addition, colder air will flow to us behind the cold front, which will lower the temperatures in Slovakia during the weekend, but not so fundamentally. Maximum temperatures are expected from +20 °C in the north to +29 °C in the warmest regions of Slovakia.
